The Exercise of Cruelty ~ John Woolman
"...as by his breath the flame of life was kindled in all animal and sensitive creatures, to say we love God ... and at the same time exercise cruelty toward the least creature ... was a contradiction in itself."
I'm not a vegetarian anymore, i was for 2 years but my diabetes would not agree with it, and i became very ill. But today, when i eat the meat...in my heart i feel a strong sense of gratefulness, for the animal who gave his flesh, so i can be healthy. I really do.
